This week, we all have to do a three minute presentation on a topic of our choice.
José chose to do his talk on the differences between Mexican and Deutsch cuisine (see him, pictured with his cookbook– that’s José the Awesome).
He did a brilliant speech auf Deutsch, informing us about the different spices and various dishes, and tempted us with pictures and slides– our stomachs cried out in protest, and all of us decided right then and there, on a not negotiable basis, that we needed Mexican food– now.
José and Gabo (two of many Mexicans in our cohort) led the way, and we delighted in quesadillas, enchiladas and tacos in the afternoon sunlight. Like, omg, if you ever had a more delicious meal.
Word of the day: lecker! meaning “delicious!”, because it was so fresh, and flavoursome and a lovely change from the sturdy, forthright food of Deutschland.
