I was reading a book recently by Caroline Myss. She explains how each day, we have an “Energy Bank”  and that we need to be mindful of how we spend our reservoir of daily energy. Sometimes, if we hang around people who drain our energy, we end up frittering it away without even realising what’s happening. Other times, we  might spend a large chunk of energy dwelling on the past, stressing about what we should have done, could have done, ought to have known, tried harder for– and as a result, we end up having no energy left to channel into our future goals and dreams.

She also sheds light on the fact that if we become too attached to a negative event and the way it’s impacted us, we can often use it as a crutch to get love, support or attention- telling and re-telling the story as a means of connecting with another. Without trivialising the enormity of the pain/hardship boulders which life can throw at us, Myss makes a matter-of-fact point at the end of all of this: if we’re willing to let go of “the story” of our past, we can free up our energy to be anything and everything we want.

Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t mean that it’ll be a breezy, smooth-sailing experience. It just means that we’re giving ourself permission to launch ourself out of that comfort zone that we’ve come to know and love—and world, hear US ROAR 🙂

We’re all so powerful, we could all produce ten million rainbows in a heartbeat- it all depends on us and what we choose to do with the infinite potential in all of us 🙂

Have  a wonderful Thursday xxx
