St Mary’s through Sandringham Garden’s gates: the world’s most misleading gates. From afar, this little Parisian garden looks perennially closed off to the public thanks to the stern, cast iron barriers that guard the front. However, if you step a little closer, you discover that it’s all just a trick- for when you round the sandstone pillars and peek into the gap that follows, you think: “Well, really??” and then just like that, you skip down the steps that lead to a fountain surrounded by a semicircle of colourful blooms.
