Today my ma and I scoped out some apartments because it’s interesting to see how other people live. We saw this penthouse in Potts Point that was going for millions with a view of the Harbour Bridge. They were so rich that they had a balcony the size of a patio and it had a raised platform that had a four poster king size sunbed on it – just in case, you know, you just wanted to recline in front of the Harbour and swill a couple of jugs of wine with some black caviar and blue cheese.
We were both busting to pee, and it was hard. I mean, you’re seeing all these houses, passing through so many bathrooms and you’re just dying to use one — but the chocolate dollar question is: Is it really really wrong to? Ma vehemently said “No, it’s fine – no one’s gonna get mad just because you needed to pee. You go on ahead and don’t be embarrassed about it!” So, we did! We blithely used the beautiful penthouse bathroom with the beautiful Harbour views and then strolled out- lighter, happier, and feeling just a little bit criminal.
Afterwards, we stopped by Noel and Noelle’s, and my Ma the Loudmouth dished out her opinion on the shade of paint they’d just expended significant thought choosing: “No no nooo, that’s a baaaaaad colour – you’re lucky I’m here, that’s a biiiig mistake!!!! Noelle and Noel smiled congenially, I frowned at my ma, and she ignored my frown. Paint palette disapproval or not, she couldn’t deny the beauty of Noel and Noelle’s antique chest though – an amazing structure with an ancient heart shaped lock ♥
