Today, he was focusing on his swing– chunks of woeful, wet soil and grass went flying, and without fail, my mum got herself into a fluster and fretted: “Why are you swinging in the wet grass with those pants on– can’t you *tell* that they’re gonna get so so muddy??” She turned on her heel and pretended to tend to the garden.
